ellura has a similar acidity level (ph value) to a cup of coffee(5), soda(4-5), or tomatoes(4-5).
For Comparison: water has a neutral pH of 7; Cranberry juice is much more acidic, with a pH of 2.7. ellura falls about halfway between the two, with a pH of 4.44. This means ellura is mildly acidic but significantly less so than cranberry juice.
Although we compare ellura to a cup of coffee, rest assured that ellura does not contain any caffeine.
Can I be allergic to ellura?
ellura is well-tolerated, but if you have a red fruit allergy, it's best to check with your healthcare provider before taking it. ellura's active ingredient (PACs) are extracted from concentrated cranberry fruit juice extract, a red fruit.

Can ellura cause kidney stones or worsen existing ones?
ellura contains low levels of oxalates, only 0.108 mg per capsule, which is much lower than in pure cranberry juice or the whole fruit. While long-term studies provide conflicting data on cranberry and kidney stones, the low oxalate content in ellura makes it unlikely to cause or worsen kidney stones. If you have a history of kidney stones or severe kidney disease, it's best to consult your healthcare provider before taking ellura.
Does ellura help with interstitial cystitis (IC)?
While an IC "flare" and UTI symptoms can often feel the same, ellura is not a treatment for interstitial cystitis (IC). However if UTI's tend to cause your IC "flare ups" then ellura may help.
